The highly regarded and long-lived audio synthesis and processing
program, built for Haiku. This is the latest official release
as of February 2020.

Sequitur
A versatile MIDI Sequencer, originally written for BeOS by the folks
at Angry Red Planet. This version has been tweaked to work properly
in Haiku.

MidiSynth
This is a (musical) keyboard and control panel to drive the internal synth.
Written for BeOS by Michael Pfeiffer, this has been updated for Haiku.

SqueekySynth
A Soundfont-based MIDI Synth by Cyan Helkaraxe — from the BeOS era,
but it works quite well in Haiku, with e.g. Sequitur. It has the distinction
of being able to load multiple Soundfonts to separate banks. See the README
in the zip file for things to be aware of in Haiku.

ArtPaint
The award-winning paint and image-processing program by Heikki Suhonen.
This is an update that fixes a bug or two in the Haiku version, restoring
transparency in saved and loaded images, and dynamic display during translate/rotate.
It should now be available from HaikuDepot

Autotrace
A command-line app for generating Vector Graphics from a Bitmap original.
It's been around quite a while, but works well. Useful for generating
an HVIF icon from a bitmap image.

HDA Driver
This is the Haiku (~alpha 4 and later)
HDA driver (High Definition Audio) modified to use an optional settings
file to set sample rate, buffer size, and number of buffers.
You may need it if your machine has HDA and you
want to do real-time audio, but it should now be included in current Haiku
distributions.

NIMROD
In 1951, the first Computer Game — or a computer built solely to play
a game — was displayed at the Festival of Britain. A simulation of
this machine is available for Haiku on this page, which has extensive details.

xicon
A utility that lets you run shell (and other) scripts by clicking,
or dropping files on, their Tracker icons just as if they were regular applications.
It gives you options that are otherwise unavailable except from the command line.

Gadgeteer
A command-line app that lets you present GUI controls to the user,
and get back the results of entries made. The desired controls
and their layout are specified on the command line. Currently
available ones are: labels, (popup) menus, textcontrols, buttons,
checkboxes, and sliders.

Ycon
A little command-line utility that translates the contents of any item dropped
or pasted into its window into text structured suitably for processing by Ruby
or Python. |
BeShare
Beshare is the venerable file-sharing and chat app, originally
written by Jeremy Friesner for BeOS, but equally fine for Haiku.
This version has a couple of added features over the last BeOS-only
release.

FtpPositive
A Tracker-friendly FTP client, written by Momoziro in Japan about
ten years ago. This version is fixed up for Haiku, and has some
English docs.

capslockfilter
An input add-on that prevents accidental activation of the Caps Lock key.
(It can still be engaged with Ctrl-CapsLock.)
